Heather James Ink is thrilled to announce a new cosmetic service coming your way. We’ll soon start offering lip blushing and scar camouflaging. These are two new ways we’ll be able to help you look your best.
Lip Blushing
This procedure is also known as a “lip liner tattoo” or “full lip tattoo.” As you know, we specialize in minimally-intrusive skin tattooing that addresses problems like hair loss and superficial skin abnormalities. This time, we take that approach to augmenting the perimeter of your lips to make them fuller and eminently more kissable.
Do you look in the mirror and lament over thin or uneven lips? This is a terrific way to make a minor tweak and finally address those problems. With it, we’re able to add small amounts of pigmentation by lightly tattooing the border of your lips.
Is this procedure permanent? Yes, just like any effective tattoo treatment, it’s designed to create a permanent effect. Granted, like similar procedures, the tattooing on your lips takes a little while to heal. That means you’ll want to minimize UV exposure to sunlight to avoid fading.
Lip blushing utilizes micro-pigmentation instruments, which gives us the chance to make very precise adjustments to your lip line. It’s minimally painful and doesn’t require a ton of upkeep.
Scar Camouflaging
The other new and forthcoming procedure will be your best opportunity to disguise unsightly scars. Sometimes called Corrective Pigment Camouflage (CPC), this treatment introduces pigment tones into the scar area to mimic your skin’s normal appearance.
This can address a whole array of skin scarrings, such as burns, birth abnormalities, and even certain embarrassing skin conditions. Granted, some scars present themselves to this treatment better than others. These are the scar conditions most amenable to camouflaging:
- Ones that are mostly flat and smooth.
- Don’t have exceptionally dark edges.
- Scars you’ve had for at least 12 months. You should delay this procedure if the scar site is still healing.
- Free from other obstructions like Keloids, spider veins, age spots, or heavy vitiligo.
Scar camouflaging is a great option as long as you’re patient and don’t expect overnight results. As with lip blushing and other skin treatments, please avoid too much sun exposure while it’s healing. Fortunately, it doesn’t take too long to notice an improvement. We think you’ll enjoy some nice results within about six to eight weeks.
We can’t wait to have lip blushing and scar camouflaging available soon. In the meantime, we still offer all of our usual favorites like microblading for picture-perfect eyebrows.
Heather James Ink offers several cosmetic procedures to address unwanted scars, hair loss, thinning eyebrows, and more. We can’t wait to bring expert lip blushing and scar camouflaging to everyone in the Dallas area.
