The brow trend is on the rise, and microblading is the ideal way to get flawless brows without spending time every morning applying makeup or overpaying for waxes and threading! Here at Flash Brows by Heather Gordon, we think everyone deserves to wake up with makeup!
Whether you’re considering microblading or have already utilized our great services, we’ve created a guide to help you maintain your new gorgeous brows.
There are several things you can do to help your eyebrows heal quickly that will keep them looking pristine for as long as possible. First things first, leave them be! We know it may be tempting to rub, scratch, or pick at the skin as it heals, but doing so can ruin your brows. It’s best to let it any scabs or dry areas exfoliate naturally. Failure to do so can leave gaps in the coloring. Avoid any and all facial scrubs, soaps, and makeup for at least seven days after your appointment. You’ll be given an aftercare ointment that should be applied regularly and any time the skin under your brows feels tight. Use a clean finger to apply a minimal amount of ointment, less is more!
You also need to do your best to avoid getting them wet for a week as well. The process requires a dry heal, so don’t partake in rigorous workouts for at least seven days as the sweat can cause irreversible blurring under your skin. You should also avoid pools, beaches, rivers, lakes, and any other type of open water. Basically, the longer you allow your brows to heal, the happier you’ll be with them once the process is complete!
Once your brows are fully healed, your morning makeup routine will be a breeze! The only thing we recommend doing regularly is trimming your natural brows to keep them shapely and well groomed. All you need for that is a mirror, steady hand, brow trimming scissors, and good lighting!
