Heather James Ink is proud to offer the latest advances in follicle replication pigmentation otherwise known as Scalp Micro-pigmentation (SMP). Scalp Micropigmentation is proven to be a safe and effective hair loss solution for both men and women of all ages and ethnicities. This unique and revolutionary non-surgical treatment camouflages thinning, bald, or scarred areas of the scalp by adding precise hair follicle replicas to the scalp.
The Heather James Ink Hair Loss Solution uses micro-impressions (aka "Pixels") from a hand-held device known as a tattoo pen. The pigment deposits tiny dots that replicate a hair follicle under the top few layers of the skin making it semi-permanent and virtually painless.
Scalp Micropigmentation can be separated into two main categories.
- Hair Density "Fill-In"
- Total Shaved Head "Buzz-Cut"
Scalp Micropigmentation is a groundbreaking solution for those who suffer from male or female patterned baldness, alopecia, thyroid related hair loss, and scar concealment from a surgery or trauma. Most clients will need a minimum of 2 sessions to achieve desired results. The appointments are scheduled just one week apart. Once completed the average client can go five years before they need their pigment refreshed. The procedure involves only minimal discomfort and there is zero downtime.
SMP for longer hair...
Not every client who chooses scalp micropigmentation to camouflage their hair loss wants to shave their entire head. Many people prefer to keep their hair at a longer length and add density by lightly filling in visible scalp areas with a Hair Density "fill-in" SMP treatment.
If any of the following circumstances apply, you may be a suitable candidate for Hair Density.
- You’re a female client who would not suit a shaven look
- You have a significant amount of hair remaining but your hair is thin
- You’re a hair transplant patient who has spacing in between the transplanted hair and/or scars that need to be covered
- You have alopecia and an effective camouflage can be achieved by combining scalp micropigmentation with your remaining hair
