If you want to wake up every single day with more color to your natural brow than you would otherwise have, microblading is for you. Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo procedure. Like any semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo procedure, microbloading requires aftercare. To learn what to do after your microblading experience, continue on.
First, avoid soaking your brows for the first few days after the procedure while the wound heals. It is ok for the brow area to get lightly splashed in the shower, but don’t submerge them for about a week. Similarly, avoid heavy sweating for a few days after your service so that the area remains sanitary.
Next, don’t pick at your brows as they heal, just apply the antimicrobial gel provided by your brow artist a few times a day. The gel will keep the brow sanitary, moisturized and promote a faster healing for you. Most people find that by seven days post-procedure you may remove any remaining debris from the brow area, so that the skin is smooth again, and also feel free to apply makeup if needed at this time.
Once you have microblading its best to be extra cautious in the sun so that you can maintain the pigment color and prevent rapid fade out by over-exposure to the sun. You may apply sunscreen and/or wear a hat. Plan to have your pigment color refreshed every six to nine months to keep the color vibrant!
